4-step trade process · equipment included

Marble polishing — dull surfaces re-cut, not just cleaned.

Marble that's lost its finish doesn't need a heavier clean. It needs the surface re-cut. We run the four-step industry process — grinding, honing, polishing, buffing — with a diamond pad system on the same in-house crew that's done thousands of jobs.

The four steps

How a marble polish actually works.

In order. No skipping. Skipping a stage shortens the result.

Grinding

Remove deep scratches and surface damage with progressive diamond grits.

Honing

Smooth the surface, take out finer scratches the grinding left.

Polishing

Build the gloss with polishing compound and finer pads.

Buffing

Final lustre — reflective enough to see the ceiling lights.

Questions

Before you book marble work.

How long will the finish last?

Three to five years on residential floors before re-polishing is needed, depending on foot traffic and care. High-traffic commercial floors may need buffing more often.

Will it remove deep scratches and etching?

Deep scratches come out at the grinding stage; etching (acid damage from spilled juice or wine) is handled at honing. Severe cracks need stone filler before polishing.

Is the dust contained?

Yes. Wet-cut process for the grinding and honing stages contains most of the dust; the crew arrives with the containment plan and protective sheeting.

How much?

Quoted per square foot — area, condition, and finish target all change the number. Send postal code and floor area for the quote.
